The rice germplasm basic information were collected from the database ( IRRI, CNRRI, CGRIS, Agridata), published book (WanJM, LinSC), published poplation research paper(Rice3k, Japan174), and our laboratory phenotype data collection (MBK).
The redundant germplasms items were merged in our database which identified based on English name, variety group and breeding parent. and total 128363 Oryza sativa (Asian cultivated rice) and 1379 Oryza glaberrima (African cultivated rice) basic information were stored in our database.
In Oryza sativa, 4460 whole genome sequencing (WGS) high-coverage sample were collected, which belong to 4238 varieties. The percentage of WGS variety group are consistent with whole rice poplation, subsequent genotyping is representative and meaningful.

In our database,115975 Oryza sativa have classic variety group information. This grouping follows the IRRI standards which based mainly on the morphologic features. Hybrid and Sterile not belong to the classification system, just to be listed separately.
Oryza sativa Ecotype Group:
Besides, based on SNP phylogenetic analyses, WGS population been classed into two major groups - Indica and Japonica, five small groups - the Aus/boro, Basmati/sadri, Temperate japonicas,Tropical japonicas and Intermediate. Subsequent population structure analysis well follow this classification method and as the standard, here named Ecotype.
